It's Raquel.

I am a Mississippian — Writer, Poet, and Educator. My passion lies at the nexus of intersectionality, where I continuously learn and unlearn what makes us all human.

I’ve always been an outsider—looking for any glimpse of those wandering like myself, so I’m intent on creating the space for other writers and journey artists whom gatekeepers have overlooked—the purgatory to which countless have been abandoned. I refuse to become a dead library—without first sharing as much as I can in terms of knowledge, craft, inspiration, introspection suffused with lyricism.
